Its breadth and its methodology transparency are the usual reasons people use it alongside or instead of the main alternative, and it publishes a trust score attempting to assess exchange volume credibility.

As with all aggregated data, figures for small assets depend on the exchanges reporting them and should be treated as indicative rather than exact.
