GOG sells PC games without digital rights management: purchased games are downloadable as standalone installers that run without a launcher or an internet connection.

Its other specialty is older titles, many of which it repackages to run on modern operating systems — for some games it is the only legal way to obtain a working copy.

The DRM-free model means a purchased game remains playable regardless of what happens to the store, which is the argument its users make for buying there.
